will.i.am will only sign on for 'The Voice' series three if his fellow judges agree to return.

The Black Eyed Peas star is adamant he won't be back for the next season of the BBC One show next year unless Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue are all in agreement as he feels they have an irreplaceable on-screen chemistry.

The super-producer told the Daily Star newspaper: "As long as the four of us do it, then I'll sign again. I think it's important it's the four of us, there's a good chemistry. We talked the last time before we agreed to it and we will this time.

"It would be hard to do it without the others. I can't think about doing it with someone else. It would be weird. I know to look to the left when I'm having a bad day and Jessie will pull some weird-ass face and cheer me up. I know Tom's going to be all silver berry cool and Danny's an inspiration."

will also joked it would be like "cheating on your wife" if he were to sit on his red swivel chair next to anyone other than the original mentors.

It appears he isn't the only one to feel that way as the quartet have allegedly made a pact to quit if one of them has doubts.

What's more, the show - which was renewed for a third series last month - was beaten by 'Britain's Got Talent' in Virgin Media's new measurement tool, The Hotlist.

The gadget aims to provide an alternative view on TV engagement by arranging the most viewed and talked about shows into an out-of-10 ranking to uncover the hottest programmes around.

'The Voice' received a 5.33 rating for May, while talent show rival 'BGT' was given a 7.00 score.
