Will Smith and U2 are among Jimmy Fallon's first guests on 'The Tonight Show'.
The 39-year-old comedian will take the reins of the long-running late night talk show from Jay Leno in February and he has landed big A-list guests for his first show, with the set to join him for an interview and the 'One' rockers giving a musical performance.
Jimmy confirmed the star-studded line-up while appearing at a Television Critics Association panel yesterday (19.01.14).
During the conference, the funnyman also said revealed he was insistent on moving 'The Tonight Show' from Los Angeles to his home city of New York because he wants to raise his six-month-old daughter Winnie in the Big Apple.
'The Tonight Show' moved to Los Angeles in 1972 and will return to New York after some 42 years.
He said: "It wasn't easy. But for me it wasn't a real option [to move to LA]. I was born and raised in New York. I live there with my wife and we have a little six-month baby. When I talked to NBC I said we should bring it back. It's been out [in Los Angeles] for 40-something years. Why not bring it back to NY? What's the worst that could happen?
"When I think of New York, I think of nighttime - night life, and the excitement, and the glitz and glamour."
Adding a personal touch to his first live show - which will air on February 17 - Jimmy said his wife Nancy Juvonen and their daughter will join him in the studio.
The proud dad gushed: "We got her soundproof headphones so she can come to the first show and hear [house band] The Roots and U2."
