Whoopi Goldberg dreams of becoming the next Doctor Who.

The award-winning actress has revealed she'd love to take on the iconic role, and she's even spoken to Tom Baker - who played the Doctor between 1974 and 1981 - about the job.
She shared: "I was lucky enough to speak to Tom Baker about it - he’s the Doctor I know best.
"For me, Tom Baker was the best Doctor. Of course, the younger Doctors are good, but when it comes to the older Doctors, it was always Tom Baker for me."
Jodie Whittaker became the first female Doctor in 2017, but Whoopi is looking to create a little bit of history of her own.
The Hollywood actress told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "I wanted to be the first female Doctor, but they have one.
"I said to him, ‘I love the idea of an American Doctor Who’ … I’m still trying to do it."
Meanwhile, Whoopi revealed in 2019 that she'd already been rejected for the role by the BBC.
Whoopi, 65, approached the broadcaster about the sci-fi series, but the BBC chose to go in another direction.
She shared: "I wanted to be the first female Doctor … the American version of Doctor Who ends up in New York and it’s me.
"The idea of that so made me happy. But they were like ‘Um no.’ I was like, ‘OK, I’m cool. I understand.’"
Prior to that, Whoopi admitted she was open to making a cameo appearance in 'Doctor Who'.
The actress explained: "I always hope when I come to England the BBC will say, ‘Hey we want you to do something.’ I would love that."
