The 2022 Winter Olympic Games will kick off on Friday, February 4th 2022, and can be streamed by Roku users via the Discovery+ app on Roku devices; get ready to watch a plethora of exciting events, from Alpine Skiing to Speed Skating.

As well as having access to everything the games have to offer, Roku users will also be allowed backstage on discovery+ to see just how the Games become so special.

There are a total of 91 nations who will be competing in the Winter games for 109 medals; this year’s (2022) Winter Olympic Games is a definite must-see event!

The games will run on Discovery+ (via Roku) from February 4th, 2022 to February 20th, 2022.

This year, Team GB (Great Britain) has confirmed 50 athletes across 11 different disciplines. 2018 saw Team GB successfully win five medals, and are setting their target this year to seven medals!

For these Winter games, more female athletes are competing than ever before and, for the first time ever, viewers will see Haiti and Saudi Arabia compete in 2022’s Winter Olympics.

New and compelling winter sports have been added to this year’s upcoming games, including Womens Monobob (a singular bobsled event), Freestyle Skiing Big Air (both Men’s and Women’s), and a Mixed team event in Short-track Speed Skating Team Relay.

The team on Discovery+ that will be presenting the Beijing 2022 Winter Games features a cast of 107, who are all winter sports experts and presenters with an impressive combined tally of 80 Olympic medals.

With 215 Olympic Winter Games appearances between them, the personalities include GB Skeleton gold medalist Amy Williams (MBE), Bronze medal Big-Air Snowboarder Billy Morgan, and Gold medalist long jumper Greg Rutherford.

In addition to having access to the main games, Roku users will be able to watch Discovery+ content that tell the stories that make the games so unique.

Viewers will gain an all-access pass into the sacrifices made in order to reach the Olympic standard.

These shows include One Last Push, which goes behind-the-scenes with Olympic legend Greg Rutherford as he bids to represent Team GB in the four-man bob at Beijing 2022, as well as A Brilliant Curling Story, which takes a deeper look at how, despite a lack of funding, five unassuming women from Scotland united for a shot at Olympic glory to win the hearts of a nation.

The Winter Olympic Games will be available to Roku users from February 4th, 2022 until February 20th, 2022.
