Former 'Love Island' contestant Wes Nelson believes Sherif Lanre was removed from the villa for "fighting or arguing with the producers" or "getting aggressive".
The hunky TV personality appeared on the 2018 series of the ITV dating reality show and got to the final as part of a couple with Megan Barton-Hanson, whom he has now split from, and he has his own theory as to why Sherif was kicked out this week.
Wes insists the rules about aggressive behaviour and fighting are very strict and he thinks Sherif must have acted up to be taken off the show for good.
Speaking on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, he said: "I don't know why he's left, but my best guess would be fighting or arguing with the producers and getting aggressive. That's zero tolerance. If you get aggressive or try to be intimidating or get in someone's face, that's zero tolerance."
Wes admits there are other rules he may have broken which could lead to his expulsion but he thinks it's unlikely he would have been ejected for anything else.
In a separate interview on the Capital Breakfast show with Roman Kemp, Vick Hope and Sonny Jay, he said: "You are briefed when you go in, there is quite a few rules. You can't talk about previous Islanders or any scenarios that have ever happened before in previous series. So they wouldn't be able to use DBS ... You can't mention anything that's going on on the outside when you walk in ... You obviously can't fight, you can't be aggressive before Islanders or producers. I personally think that's what it is. It's all up in the air at the moment but I'm sure we'll get the tea when it spills. I'll be after that. I'll be hunting!"
In the wake of his expulsion from the ITV2 show Sherif released a statement admitting he "regrets" his actions which led to him leaving 'Love Island'.
He said: "In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
"I regret that I didn't conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it's something I know I will take on board and learn from."
