‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star Mick Norcross has died aged 57.
The reality star – who appeared on the ITVBe show and was well known in Essex as the boss of popular celebrity nightspot the Sugar Hut – was pronounced dead by Essex Police on Thursday (21.01.21) at his home.
A statement from Essex Police read: "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.
"Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Earlier on Thursday, Mick had sent out a tweet which alluded to “the end”.
He wrote: "At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough."
Following the tragic news, fellow ‘TOWIE’ star Mario Falcone took to social media to share his thoughts, writing: “Shocked and heartbroken” alongside a broken heart emoji.
Mick – who is the father of Kirk Norcross - was a huge part of ‘TOWIE’ as the owner of Sugar Hut, and even dated some of the show’s stars, including Chloe Sims and Maria Fowler.
He walked away from the show in 2013, and claimed at the time he was concerned the series was damaging the Sugar Hut brand.
He said: "My club is an upmarket venue where people come to drink champagne and feel spoiled. All these rows they keep filming don’t show the club in a good light and I’m worried it’s putting people off coming, which is the last thing I want.
“I’ve had enough. I’m out.”
