Jay Blades "cannot wait" for viewers to see the new episodes of 'The Repair Shop'.
The 53-year-old presenter is best known for fronting the BBC series that sees broken heirlooms brought back to life and teased that the new batch of episodes - which are set to air from Wednesday 7 June - will feature poet Simon Armitage and specials dedicated to the NHS and black history.
He said: "We cannot wait to share these four new peak episodes with you. We were honoured to welcome poet Simon Armitage to the barn, and our specials for Windrush and the NHS are also incredible. Meeting Patrick Vernon, who has done so much to commemorate an important part of black British history, has been a personal high."
Meanwhile, the Hackney-born TV star recently revealed he was very surprised to receive an invitation in the post to the coronation of King Charles, just months after the 74-year-old monarch had appeared on his hit series at a time when he was known as Prince Charles prior to the death of Queen Elizabeth.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “Whoever thinks that they’re gonna get an invite where the King says to you, ‘I want you to be at my party,' that doesn’t happen that often. Someone put it to me like this, they said that you are 1 in 2,200 people in the world that was invited. So that means you’re proper special. On 'The Repair Shop' we fixed two things for him and those were successful.
"Mainly I’m working with him on his project which is The Prince’s Foundation by being an ambassador for that and championing all the work that they do."
