Max Bowden “can’t wait to cuddle” his grandmother, after she was lined up to receive a coronavirus vaccine.
The ‘EastEnders’ star - who plays Ben Mitchell in the BBC soap - has revealed his grandma is set to receive a vaccination against Covid-19 on Wednesday (09.12.20) after the UK began rolling out the injections this week, and he’s excited to finally be able to give her hug after spending most of 2020 at a distance.
He tweeted: “Tears of joy this morning. My nan gets her covid vaccine today. I can’t wait to cuddle her. (sic)”
Max was quick to receive many kind responses from fans who were happy for him amid the news.
The news comes just two months after Max revealed his grandfather had passed away following a battle with cancer.
The former ‘Waterloo Road’ actor took to social media to share the sad news in October, where he also said he was hoping to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer nurses after they gave his relative "amazing love and care" prior to his death.
He wrote at the time: "Hi all. On Monday evening I lost my grandad to his battle with cancer. In his last weeks he was overwhelmed by the amazing love and care the @macmillancancer nurses provided him with. For that reason I am reposting my longest day challenge website in the hope of raising more money for them. Please give generously if you can. Thank you. The website is https://longestdaygolf.macmillan.org.uk/Team/raysgeese (sic)”
And several of his ‘EastEnders’ co-stars sent their well wishes to 25-year-old Max and his family.
