Vicky McClure has revealed her fiancé left her engagement ring in a pub.
The 'Line of Duty' star recalled when her future husband Jonny Owen went out drinking with the engagement ring in his pocket and decided to give it to a barman to keep safe but forgot to collect it at the end of the night.
Speaking to The Nottingham Post newspaper, she said: "He got the ring, then met his mates, and it was Christmas time, obviously, because we got engaged on Christmas Day.
"And he got absolutely wasted and was like, 'I've got this b***** expensive ring in my pocket', so he gave it to the barman who put it in the safe. And then he remembered and got the tram back. Yeah, he made it. It made it in one piece."
Jonny popped the question in 2017 but the couple are yet to marry as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic keeps postponing their nuptials.
However, Vicky, 37, would happily go to Gretna Green - a runaway wedding venue in Scotland - to marry Jonny instead of having a big event.
Appearing on 'The Graham Norton Show', she said: "We didn't get married, but we haven't even booked it. I'd marry him tomorrow, but we've never got around to cementing the plan. We will probably end up at Gretna Green!"
Vicky shared in 2019 that she knew Jonny was the one the first time she met him although he was married at the time but going through a divorce.
She explained: "When we first spoke it was on the phone. I came off the phone and I just knew. I absolutely know. We got to talking about love. And just the way he was describing it: I was like, 'Oh My God. He's the man for me.'
"We literally lived together from a week of meeting. We have basically stayed together from that time until now. We've never lived apart. Seven years in March. I am not sure about fate but I couldn't see my life without him."
