Vernon Kay is to present a new ITV talent series.
The 46-year-old television presenter is set to front 'Game Of Talents', a new show with a twist that gets the judging panel to guess what a person's special talent may be, based on their appearance and some "intriguing clues".
Speaking about the new series, Vernon said: "We’re lining up some amazing performers whose skills are both jaw-droppingly brilliant and at times surreal. I can’t wait for viewers to play along at home and try to guess who has which hidden talent. Prepare to be shocked and amazed in equal measure."
The show is already a hit in Spain, where it is in its third season, and is devised by Fremantle, with Thames - the people behind 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'The Greatest Dancer' - producing the show.
Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning for ITV, added: "Vernon is the perfect host for this high-octane show which combines the massive scale of a talent show with all the guessing of a gameshow. I can’t wait to see it!"
Amelia Brown, managing director of Thames, said: "Vernon is the ideal host to bring lots of fun to Game of Talents. Families at home will be on the edge of their seats as they play along with him."
Vernon competed on the most recent series of 'I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' - where he ended up placing third - and he admits it left him feeling "emotionally drained" after his stint in Gwrych Castle, North Wales.
He confessed: "I still cry at ‘Forrest Gump’, so I expected to cry while I was on ‘I’m A Celebrity’. I even cried in the interview I did at the start of the series. And when you’re in there, you are emotionally drained because you are missing your family.
"I felt comfortable with that group of people that I could cry.
"I didn’t think about trying to stop myself from getting emotional. You are physically drained, too.
"We were eating nothing but rice and beans most of the time. I lost two-and-a-half stone – that’s weight I didn’t really have to lose."
