Vernon Kay has warned this year's 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' contestants that this series will be more "vicious".
The presenter appeared on last year's series of the popular ITV show but strict COVID-19 regulations meant that a lot of the tasks were filmed in a marquee - but with the easing of restrictions, Vernon thinks this year's campmates might find themselves tasked with trials that are more "out and about".
He said: "I've heard that it’s going to be more vicious, it’s going to be on a bigger scale. And they’re going to be doing lots more activities. I’ve heard this year’s trials are going to be out and about – more of the countryside."
Vernon believes this year's show will be "more gross and more aggressive" as it returns to Wales for a second year.
He is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "We all got on – everybody says the tone was perfect.
"I think that’s a reflection of where we were as a nation, and I think this one will be a reflection of where we are this time. We’re back, and it’s going to be more gross and more aggressive."
It comes after it was claimed 'I'm A Celebrity' bosses are hoping to secure their first drag queen for the new series.
A number of stars from Ru Paul's Drag Race UK are being considered for their debut on the show - hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly - with the likes of Cheryl Hole and Bimini Bon-Boulash reportedly in the running.
A source said: "Casting directors want the most diverse I’m A Celeb line-up possible. They’re keen to sign drag queens. They have big fanbases who would follow them to I’m a Celeb. A few names have been floated already.
"Of course, they won’t be able to put on full make-up and will have to wear a uniform like the other campmates, but the addition will spice up the show. Lots of drag queens would love to do it."
