Vernon Kay has insisted he and his wife Tess Daly have “moved on” from his sexting scandal.
The 46-year-old presenter famously made a public apology to his wife on BBC Radio 1 back in 2010 after saucy messages he sent to lingerie model Rhian Sugden came to light and Vernon insists the incident is firmly in the past.
He told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "There isn't a hidden side to me. I've been on telly for 20 years and my career started on a reality show.
"All that stuff is in the past, we've forgotten about that, we've moved on. It's all gone. It's disappeared."
Vernon will compete on this year's series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' and he is looking forward to discussing the "positive stuff and negative stuff" with his fellow contestants.
He said: "We've all learned through being more aware about mental health, that talking is a good tonic. I'm more than happy to engage in conversation with anyone about positive stuff and negative stuff. I think that's why I'm hoping this camp will be an open forum with no judgement on what people have done in the past and the present and how they've moved on from it. Everyone has moved on. All that stuff is in the past."
And Vernon revealed Tess will be his number one supporter during the series.
He said: "Tess is 100 per cent behind me. Actually she encouraged me to do 'I'm A Celebrity'. She encouraged me to do it. She was like, 'go in there and do it. Have fun.' She's well and truly behind me."
