Vas J Morgan binged on "cocaine, ketamine and crystal meth" after struggling with internalised homophobia.
The 31-year-old former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star - who has been sober for two-and-a-half years - admitted he struggled to come to terms with his own sexuality and turned to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain.
He told new magazine: "I took anything. Ketamine, cocaine, crystal meth. You know, in this industry, when people offer you free alcohol and free drugs, you tend to ignore it being a problem.
"I realised later that it was a lot of internalised homophobia, with me not wanting to admit to being gay, which trickled down from my family. I've got a Caribbean mum and in Jamaica it's still taboo. My parents grew up in the 60s and 70s over there, so being gay was just not allowed and I was told from a very young age, 'It's not OK to be gay'. I was sort of closeted and dealing with that mental health struggle alone for most of my life. I thought I was going to hell. It's hard to unlearn things that were taught to you so young. I just thought, 'What is the point of living?' So I went out and numbed those thoughts with alcohol and drugs."
And Vas revealed his close pal, heiress Chloe Green, booked him into rehab after two failed suicide attempts.
He said: "[My lowest point] was the night before I went to rehab. I had two quite severe suicide attempts. I called my friend Chloe Green from a hotel room. She booked me a flight to Thailand next morning and I went straight from the hotel room that I'd been in for four nights to Heathrow airport."
