The 61-year-old presenter has signed up for 'Celebs Go Dating' and went on her first date on Friday (23.06.23) but admitted she was incredibly nervous.
She told her fans via Instagram: "OMG going off on my first date for 'Celebs Go Dating'.
"I haven't been on a date for 17 years, so just imagine how I'm feeling. I can't even find the words to describe it, and I'm good at words."
Vanessa signed up for the show after being left devastated by her split from Ben following revelations he had cheated on her.
A source previously told The Sun: “When Vanessa was first approached to do the show, she wasn’t 100 per cent sure as the break-up was very fresh and she didn’t want to rush into anything.
“Now she has had time to think about it and she’s decided to give it a whirl.
"Her relationship coming to a devastating, unexpected end after 16 years has made her realise that life is short and you have to grab opportunities when they come your way.
“She’s not necessarily expecting to find her soulmate, but she’s also keeping an open mind as stranger things have happened.
"At 61 years old, she wants to have fun, live life and try new things - and this fits the bill perfectly.”
