Vanessa Feltz is to return to 'The Weakest Link'.
The 59-year-old TV personality was given a tough time by former host Anne Robinson when she first appeared on the quiz show over a decade ago but will return for the new series that will be hosted by comedian Romesh Ranganathan.
The celebrity series will air on the BBC later this year and is also set to feature 'A Question of Sport' captain Sam Quek, 'TOWIE' star Gemma Collins and 'Hollyoaks' actor Richard Blackwood.
There will also be a 'Strictly Come Dancing' themed episode that will see judge Anton Du Beke, 'It Takes Two' co-host Janette Manrara and former contestants Ranj Singh and Emma Barton compete.
Vanessa's return is significant as she claimed that Anne made a "racist" remark during her appearance on the show back in 2006.
The star alleged that Anne asked her: "Vanessa Feltz, looking the way you do, how do you think you land all these big black boyfriends?"
An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "This will be delicious for her because the last time she was on the show, she left with a bad taste in her mouth following Anne's comments.
"But Anne's not the one who has been asked back – it's Vanessa, and she is likely to savour the moment."
The reboot of 'The Weakest Link' was revealed earlier this year and the celebrity editions will feature eight stars working as a team to win up to £50,000 for charity.
Romesh described it as an "honour" to bring the show back to the screen when he was announced as the new host.
The 43-year-old comedian said: "It’s an honour to be asked to bring what is basically a TV institution back to our screens.
"Anne was an amazing host and to step into her shoes is an anxiety-inducing privilege.
"I’m hoping we’ve found a way to make both the fans of the show happy as well as bringing a new audience to it.
"If not, accept this as my apology."
