Vanessa Feltz would love to host 'The Romance Retreat'.
ITV recently confirmed they are making a new 'Love Island'-style show for "vibrant single parents", and while the 61-year-old broadcasting legend doesn't want to appear on the programme - following her split from Ben Ofoedu after 16 years together - the star would be up for fronting the series.
In an interview with Betway, Vanessa, 61, said would "of course" be up for hosting the programme.
But said about appearing on the show: "I think the nation has been very, very good to me over the years.
"I think the lovely, beautiful nation of viewers need to be spared the sight of me in a bikini!"
ITV recently revealed details about 'The Romance Retreat', which has been compared to the ITV2 dating competition - which is currently airing nightly and hosted by Maya Jama - through an online casting call, asking for children to sign up their “vibrant single parents”.
The description reads: "ITV1 are looking for vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love, for a brand new dating show!
"This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love, by spending time in a luxury retreat, where all the parents have been nominated by their grown up children. (sic)"
The call out seems to give people a snapshot at the sprawling luxury villa they are hoping to host the fun in.
A presenter for the show is yet to be announced, but former ‘Big Brother’ host Davina McCall, 55, has made no secret about her desire to take the hosting reins.
She recently said: "I've got no embarrassment or shame in emailing a TV company and going, 'Have you thought about this? What about this? Can I do this?'
"I'm literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life 'Love Island'."
