A recent announcement from Sky revealed that filming has begun on season two of critically-acclaimed show, Gangs of London.

A new cast will be joining the already brilliant roster of actors coming into season two; the series, being globally popular, began production around three weeks ago. The show is produced by Pulse Films in association with SISTER, for Sky Studios and AMC Networks.
Gangs of London season one showed the myriad of gangs within the capital city; London is being torn apart by the gangs that scream and fight their way into control. The mad grab for power and the intense storyline made this show something to really sink your teeth into.
The cast for season one contained some fantastic actors, including Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù, Michelle Fairley, Brian Vernel, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Lucian Msamati, Paapa Essiedu, Valene Kane, Orli Shuk, Narges Rashidi and Asif Raza.
Joining this talented crew, are Waleed Zuaiter (Baghdad Central, The Spy), French rapper Jasmine Armando in her first TV role, Salem Kali (Un Prophete, Dealer), Aymen Hamdouchi (SAS: Red Notice, Criminal: UK) and Fady El-Sayed (Baghdad Central, A Private War).
This wide and diverse range of actors should blend together perfectly to create a second season that will have viewers on the edge of their seats.
Gangs of London is created by Gareth Evans and his creative partner Matt Flannery. The first episode of their critically-acclaimed show became the biggest Sky Original drama launch on Sky Atlantic within the past five years. The series debuted on AMC in the US, on which it became one of the most popular shows on the new streaming service.
Season two will be set one year after the exhilarating events of the first season; Gangs of London season two sees London’s map, and soul, be rewritten. The collapse of the Wallace Dumani empire has led to a lack of order and a need for someone to take control.
The Investors decide to license a new gang to restore some stability back into the city, after deeming it ruined. Any gangs must go through The Investors to do their business, which isn’t something that is desired, as their cold and cruel rule leads the gangs within London to comply.
Now, gangs must decide who their loyalties lie with; who will win the battle for the soul of London?
Gangs of London will be coming to NOW in the UK, and AMC and AMC+ in the US, sometime in 2022.
