The 'TOWIE' stars - each with their own wrestling nicknames - have joined forces with Mexican brand Jose Cuervo and trained at the London School of Lucha Libre with founder Garry Vanderhorne.

So-called Essex Pirate Pete said: "He might be tall but he’s about as agile as a tree is Lockie.

"I’m going to run so many rings around him that he’ll think he’s wrestling a hundred Petes and he’ll melt like the melt that he is in the face of my red-hot moves.

"Get ready Lockie: the Pirate’s coming to plunder.”

Not to be outdone, James - going under the name Lockie - compared himself to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and insisted he will send his opponent "packing".

He added: "Forget The Rock, meet The Lock! Anyone that sees me in this get-up will know I was born to wear it. Half pint Pete won’t stand a chance.

"This challenge from Jose Cuervo is definitely going to settle who’s the better wrestler (me, obviously) and I can’t wait to sip on the cocktail of champions after I’ve sent Pete packing.”

The two reality stars have swapped the Sugar Hut for spandex for the new campaign, and they are set to lock horns in the ring on October 29.

As well as honing their wrestling skills, the duo will also have to enhance their verbal arsenal to impress fans.

They'll be learning some classic moves, and the pair will have to spend some time making sure their trash talk is up to scratch.

Fans will be able to follow James and Pete's Cuevo Libre journey on the Jose Cuervo Instagram channel.
