Tom Parker’s widow Kelsey Parking is making a new documentary series.
The 30-year-old spouse of the late The Wanted star will feature in six episodes on ITVBe exploring life after losing Tom - who died this year aged 33 after being diagnosed with a rare brain cancer - from the same team that brought viewers ‘Caring For Derek,’ which gave an insight into the aftermath of Kate Garraway’s husband serious case of COVID-19 that has left him bed-bound and in need of constant round the care.
Kelsey - who has three-year-old daughter Aurelia and two-old son Bodhi - will let cameras see her journey with grief in an effort to connect with people in similar situations, including other famous faces.
She will also try out death cafes, and grief yoga and other methods of coming to terms with loss.
Amanda Stavri, ITV’s Commissioning Editor, said: “Continuing our commitment to bring viewers real-life stories, we are privileged to have Kelsey bravely share her experience after the passing of her husband, Tom. Kelsey has allowed cameras into her home to follow her very own personal journey with grief, in the hope it helps others.”
The channel have also announced ‘Giovanna Fletcher: Made in Italy’, which will see the former ‘I’m A Celebrity’ winner, 37, take audiences on an adventure into her family’s heritage as she explores Italian history, food and culture.
Giovanna - who has kids Buzz, eight, Buddy, seven, and Max, four, with McFly frontman Tom Fletcher, 37 - will tour the Amalfi Coast and Naples with her sister Giorgina, and brother ‘Little’ Mario and their dad ‘Big’ Mario.
Amanda said: “We are thrilled to have Giovanna on board to take us on an Italian adventure as she discovers more about her family history and explores the wonderful scenery and immense food that Italy has to offer.”
