Tom Odell said it was "mind-blowing" performing on The X Factor.
The 23-year-old singer, who won the BRITs Critics' Choice Award earlier this year, took to the stage on Saturday (14.12.13) for the show's final and admits he felt pressure because of the crowd.
He explained: "It was a very mind-blowing experience. It's just like a force of entertainment. I've just never seen anything like it. It was at Wembley Arena. I've never experienced anything like it. It's just terrifying. It's just absolutely terrifying. The crowd are very loud and you kind of knew whether they like it or not immediately ... It's very bizarre."
The blonde-haired hunk bumped into finalist Luke Friend, who came third at the weekend, after the show and admits he was left feeling down because the young wannabe was standing on his own in a dark room.
Speaking on radio station Xfm, he said: "There was this sort of strange moment at the end when Luke, who I'd met, got kicked out. There's this sort of cliche that if you get kicked out, it's quite sad and everything. And he's a lovely, lovely boy, who I'd met like a week before or something, and I think he's a great singer and it's a shame he got kicked out.
"We walked past and it was after the show and we were packing up and me and my TV plugger-person were walking past this dark room and he [Luke] was just standing there on his own and, honestly, it was so sad. I walked in and honestly it was horrible and I sort of gave him a hug and all his people had left."
