Sir Tom Jones is set to star in James Corden's new sitcom 'Mammals'.
The 81-year-old singing legend will portray himself in the Amazon Prime Video series, which will be set in London and Cornwall.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "There is a huge buzz in Cornwall at the moment as word soon spread about James filming his new show.
"Since it doesn’t look like 'Gavin & Stacey' will be back for a while, fans are intrigued to see what James has got up his sleeve with this new project.
"Obviously there’s the Welsh connection in that show - so it’s an interesting curveball that Sir Tom has been filming with James for 'Mammals'."
James and Tom were said to be staying in seaside town Bude during filming, and the 'Green, Green Grass of Home' hitmaker stopped off at local restaurant Potters for a bite to eat, where he indulged in a venison scotch egg and Cornish mackerel.
The six-part series, from 'Britannia' creator Jez Butterworth, is also set to star 'The Shape of Water' actress Sally Hawkins, Killing Eve's Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Colin Morgan from 'Humans', Salvation's Melia Kreiling, and 'Witless' star Samuel Anderson.
Plot details are yet to be revealed, but the writer recently suggested the story revolves around a marriage.
Jez said: "A good marriage is the most magical thing.
"In a world of eight billion, you’ve found the one who gets you, ignites your body and soul.
"Who allows you to grow and flourish. Who gives you the spark, the confidence to become you.
"You’re also never going to have sex with anyone else, ever, and then you’re going to die, and be dead forever.”
