Coronation Street's Tina McIntyre will hand over baby Jake to his biological parents.
The brunette beauty - who is played by Michelle Keegan - vowed to keep the little one after acting as a surrogate mother to Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston) and Gary Windass (Mickey North), but she looks set to do an emotional U-turn later this summer.
Tina will agree to give up all rights to Jake and hand him over to Izzy's dad Owen Armstrong (Ian Puleston-Davies), who will then throw a party to celebrate.
Owen then makes a speech in the Rovers Return pub, saying: "We are here to celebrate my grandson Jake.
"We're also here because, as you know, it hasn't been an easy ride for these two. It's been a long and drawn-out process.
"None of this would be possible without one person, Tina. She carried our baby Jake.
"It was a tough thing for her to take on and I know there were times that she wished she hadn't agreed to it but she came through for them and for Jake."
Chris Fountain, who plays Tina's on-screen boyfriend Tommy Duckworth, is pleased viewers have been able to relate to the emotional storyline.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper: "Obviously some people will be able to relate to this but it wasn't something I had ever experienced.
"But since it's been on, people seem to have really taken to it."
