Tina Barrett wants to take compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 44-year-old singer - who first found fame as part of S Club 7 - is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Rachel Stevens, and shimmy across the dancefloor on the BBC Latin and ballroom competition.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I love 'Strictly' and I’d like to do it. I haven’t been asked to, so if anyone at 'Strictly' is reading, please let me go on. It would be amazing. I am a bit of a glitterball girl.”
Rachel joined the dance competition in 2008 with professional dance partner Vincent Simone and together they hold the record for the most perfect 10s ever achieved in any series.
The couple ultimately came second to winners Alesha Dixon and Tom Chambers but returned for the 'Strictly' Christmas special in 2008 and 2009.
Meanwhile, Tina is set to release a music video for her solo single, 'Private Dance Instructor' which features the singer performing in a dance studio.
She explained: “We shot it in lockdown so it’s just me in a dance studio doing choreography. It’s very 'Flashdance'.”
However, Tina is not the only S Club star planning to release new music as Jo O'Meara recently announced she is set to release her first solo album in 15 years.
The 40-year-old singer shot to fame in the 'Bring It All Back' group, and released her debut solo album, 'Relentless', in 2005.
Now, Jo 's back in the studio again working on a new record, which is set to be released in 2021.
She shared: "It's so good to finally be back in the studio doing what I love. I have a brand new album coming out in the summer, so there is new material to look forward to."
