'Tiger King' has won the Best Lockdown Binge at the Digital Spy Awards.
The Netflix documentary - which followed big cat breeder Joe Exotic and his feud with activist Carole Baskin - received 29 per cent of votes from Digital Spy readers as the best show to watch during the coronavirus lockdown earlier this year.
Digital Spy editor Laurence Mozafari said: “The huge response we’ve had to this year’s Digital Spy Reader Awards shows just how much the British public have relied on TV as a source of entertainment this year – possibly more than ever.
“I think the fascination with Tiger King – in addition to the brilliant Netflix production – centres around the eccentric nature of the individuals and the gobsmacking storylines that left viewers shocked, but craving more to see how everything unfolded.”
However, 'Killing Eve' took home the majority of the awards, including Best TV Drama and Best British Drama, as well as Jodie Comer scooping Best TV Actress while her character, Villanelle was awarded Best TV character.
Jodie said: “Thank you so much to the Digital Spy readers for their continued support. This is a lovely early Christmas present! Stay safe and I hope you all have a very merry Christmas!”
Elsewhere, Ant and Dec took home the award for Best TV Presenters while their show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' won Best Reality Show.
Ant said: “Thank you so much to all the readers of Digital Spy for voting us Best TV Presenters, we’re really grateful and appreciate all of your support.”
Dec added: “Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us. And a big thank you for watching all our shows. See you for Saturday Night Takeaway in the new year!"
