The Walking Dead continues to divide fans with its episodes, but rakes in the millions of viewers each and every week. With Jeffrey Dean Morgan's villain Negan the latest character on the scene, showrunner Scott Gimple suggests that more villains could be on their way.

Speaking with Comic Book, he explained "If we've gotten this far without saying anything about them, I'd like the audience to discover this group when it's on screen.
"I will say… I mean, it's not the Whisperers. I will also say, though, that it's not impossible that the Whisperers could come along or aspects of them could come along earlier than the timeline of the book, but certainly not this early."
Despite the comments, this is of course just a rumour at this point.
The Walking Dead continues Sundays in the US on AMC and Mondays in the UK on FOX.
