Though new channel ITVBe isn't launching until this October, we do know that one of the shows on its schedule will be The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

The first time the franchise has crossed the pond from America, the new and original series will step into the lives of Ampika Pickston, Dawn Ward, Lauren Simon, Leanne Brown, Tanya Bardsley and Magali Gorré.

As we get to know this new group of characters, viewers gain access into elite events and social occasions that would otherwise remain a private affair, all with the backdrop of gigantic homes and exclusive locations that the women call their own.

Produced by Monkey Kingdom, the show is being taken on by series producer Mike Swindells and executive producer Sean Murphy, who join BAFTA-winning duo Sarah Dillistone and David Granger.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed today that on ITVBe's launch night - October 8 - a special edition of The Only Way Is Essex will broadcast as the crew have fun in Ibiza, before a one-off special spin-off airs.

Peter Andre and Jamelia are to present Welcome to ITVBe, bringing viewers some of the gossip from the launch event of the channel and featuring action from the celeb-studded bash.

Coming direct from ITV, Peter and Jamelia will chat to the cast of ITV original series including the Cheshire Housewives, TOWIE favourites and celebrities involved with new show 'Seven Days With...'.
