'The Only Way Is Essex' will be getting a major makeover next year.
TV bosses are decided which favourite faces should be axed from the ITV2 show in a bid to spice up proceedings with the introduction of new stars.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "We have to keep the show fresh if we want to keep viewers hooked. So we are going to have a look at what characters work, who could be given a boost and which of the gang we should let go.
"No one is bigger than this show and we've seen with the loss of people like Mark Wright that we can carry on. We're excited about finding new faces to carry it forward."
This comes after loveable hunk Joey Essex - who is currently facing his fears in the jungle on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' - quit the show to focus on other projects, leaving a spot open for another central male figure. Original stars like Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh are still expected to feature on the programme.
Meanwhile, another three series have been confirmed for next year, with the first airing in February, the second in June and the third kicking off mid-October.
A Christmas special is already in the pipeline for 2014.
