According to a new report from Deadline, a currently unnamed spinoff series featuring Famke Janssen's Blacklist character Susan 'Scottie' Halstead is in development, with Scottie scheduled to be introduced in the show's season finale on May 5.
Details are scarce on what we should actually expect from the plot of the new show, but it's claimed that Ryan Eggold's Tom will also be a part of the series in a co-starring role alongside Janssen. Edi Gathegi will also reprise his role as Mr. Solomon as a series regular.
Written by The Blacklist's creator and executive producer Jon Bokenkamp alongside executive producer and showrunner John Eisendrath, Michael Dinner will be serving as director, and current plans will see a new episode of The Blacklist, airing May 12, act as a pilot for the potential spinoff.
The news comes after NBC successful spun off its Chicago franchise, with Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med all big players for the network, and a fourth, Chicago Justice on the way.
