Mark Wright has been crowned the winner of this year's The Apprentice, but has admitted he was "shaken" by Bianca Miller's confidence during the final.
The 25-year-old Australian was crowned last night on the BBC One series and is to receive a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar, but confesses that his confidence decreased towards the end of the process.
Quizzed by BANG Showbiz on if he had any doubts about going on to win, he said: "Yeah I think actually as we got closer there were probably two times I doubted it. After the Tesco incident where I had the coughing fit I thought I wasn't going to win.
"And I think as we went through the final I saw how confident Bianca was pitching her leggings and her knowledge and passion for the industry actually started to shake me a little bit because she was so confident in moving forward and I thought, 'She might get it over me here'."
He also went on to say that he was wary of choosing certain former candidates for his team in the final, fearing they may sabotage his chances of winning.
"To keep Daniel [Lassman] off my team and Lauren [Riley] off my team I knew that everyone would want to work for me ... I really wanted to work with Lauren and I think she's a very smart young lady but I think she was still a bit bitter about the soft drink challenge.
"That I brought her into the boardroom and she got dismissed and I could see that that was lingering at the time of the selection and I thought if I have her and Daniel together on my side we'll actually implode internally!"
The digital marketing expert also insisted he'd be more than happy to step into Nick Hewer's shoes on the show, who revealed he'd be stepping down after a decade.
