Vernon Kay says his wife Tess Daly will miss sharing biscuits with Sir Bruce Forsyth on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 40-year-old presenter admits his wife - who co-hosted the show with Bruce, 86, for over a decade - became "emotional" when she heard of his departure from the series.
Vernon exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was quite emotional. They'd been together for 10 years - 11 series.
"Bruce is such a gentleman and he's got such a knowledge and experience of television that you can kind of use him as a TV manual.
"I think that's something that Tess will miss and the fact that she loved sharing her digestive biscuits with him."
Vernon - who has children Phoebe and Amber with the 45-year-old blonde beauty - admitted he too will miss turning to Bruce for career advice.
He said: "You can pick his brains and ask his advice and get his opinion.
"I'd do it on a regular basis. Just speak to him. See what he thinks. What he thought of various shows and stuff like that. He's like the oracle, it's nice to just pick his brains."
However, the 40-year-old star - who was recently named 'Boss of Beef ' by Beefeater restaurants to celebrate their 40th birthday and the launch of their 'Hungry Games' - added that his wife is thrilled she will be joined on the BBC series by her close pal Claudia Winkleman.
He said: "Moving forward Claudia and Tess are great mates so you know it's a bonus to have a friend as a work partner."
