Celebrities are expected to feel the heat during this year's 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' as temperatures are set to hit a scorching 50 degrees celsius.

Weather forecasters have predicted the unbearable heat will hit the show's jungle base in New South Wales, Australia, by the time the show begins in mid-November, and some experts are predicting it could be the hottest summer in the area for the past 30 years.

A show source told the Daily Star newspaper: "This is set to be the hottest 'I'm A Celebrity' ever.

"We know viewers love a jungle romance but it looks like the stars will be getting hot and sweaty for all the wrong reasons.

"However, they need to be careful as extreme heat can cause sunburn, nausea and fainting fits."

The combination of heat, dry forests and lack of rainfall are likely to make things very sticky for those at the celebrity camp in Murwillumbah, and the show - which is hosted by Ant and Dec - was recently put in doubt when a bush fire blazed through a neighbouring cane field.

Several stars are rumoured to be part of the line-up this year including 'The Only Way Is Essex' hunk Joey Essex, 'Emmerdale' actress Lucy Pargeter - who plays barmaid Chas Spencer - and The Wright Stuff's Matthew Wright.

Other contestants linked to the show include former 'Apprentice' winner Stella English and 'Big Brother' housemate and Irish model Hazel O'Sullivan.
