Tamzin Outhwaite is "incredibly emotional" over her 'EastEnders' reunion with Lucy Benjamin.
The 48-year-old actress - who made her own comeback last year after first playing Mel Owen in Albert Square from 1998 to 2002 - was delighted to see her pal return as Lisa Fowler in scenes aired earlier this week and loved seeing their real-life friendship echoed on screen.
She tweeted: It feels so nostalgic for us too. And pretty emotional with everything we've been through. @Lucy_Benjamin I do love working with you x
"I'm actually weeping whilst typing. I feel so incredibly emotional about it. We have come full circle over a 21 year period and female friendship steeped in chemistry, admiration and such love...
"Female friendship is everything to me... when it's done right on television, there is something so uplifting. (sic)"
And Lucy was equally delighted to be back working with her friend.
She replied: "We have had an amazing time being back together on @bbceastenders.,hopefully everyone will see the chemistry between us and the friendship that we have? #ItsBeenAJoy (sic)"
Max Bowden, who plays Ben Mitchell, described the pair as two of his "favourite people", and Tamzin quickly returned the compliment.
She replied: "You too max... totes emosh (sic)"
And Lucy isn't the only 'EastEnders' actress Tamzin - who is preparing to depart Walford once more - enjoys working with as she's also been looking forward to shooting some scenes with "legend" Letitia Dean, who plays Sharon Mitchell.
She tweeted: "Right... it's time to get on with the job in hand... filming with another legend #LetitiaDean Gonna miss you too my Tishie [heart emoji] (sic)"
