The former 'EastEnders' star - whose character Mel Owen was killed off in November last year - hasn't had a "proper job" since March and the 49-year-old actress wonders when she will act on TV again.

She said: "There is a feeling of, 'Will I ever work again?' But most actors you speak to will say they will finish a job and go, 'Will I ever get a job ever again?'

"Because it's a life of uncertainty.

"Definitely once I hit 40 it felt like things started to slow down - I wasn't being offered quite as much.

"But I haven't been years out of work - this is the most I've been out of work, this year - Covid.

"Since March I haven't really had a proper job."

But the star has been thinking of a possible back-up career, admitting she wakes up in the middle of the night and searches for properties to potentially do up.

Speaking on 'The Matt Haycox Show' podcast, she added: "Because of the anxiety lockdown has brought I will wake up at 4am and I'm on Rightmove or Zoopla for hours trying to work out the remortgage payments."

In January, Tamzin admitted she would love to start her own upcycling shop.

She said: "I think upcycling is the way forward.

"In an ideal world I would have my own little shop, where, if I had loads of time, I would find pieces and instead of chucking them out I would upcycle them.

"I've done that for years and years.

"There are pieces of furniture in my house that were my mums and I've now upcycled.

"And now I've gained pieces of furniture from other people."
