Tamzin Outhwaite has taken up pilates.
The 49-year-old actress announced she will be taking part in a virtual pilates class on Thursday (03.09.20) as part of her new healthy way of living.
Taking to Twitter, she revealed: "At 10am today I'm doing a Pilates class on insta live on Zero Gravity Pilates page with Chris the trainer. I haven't done Pilates in a long while & never quite so publicly but do join us for around 40 mins...We can breathe and laugh through it together! (sic)"
It comes after the former 'EastEnders' actress started a new plant-based diet in the hope of bringing positive energy into her life.
Tamzin - who played Mel Owen on the soap - has given up alcohol, exercises regularly, and practises mindfulness.
She recently wrote on Instagram: "Morning all.... I'm trying so hard to continue my flow of positive energy , exercise & well being. Eating a plant based diet & holding on to my Sense of calm is the challenge. Not beating myself up about the ice cream last night.
"Day 24 of no alcohol & that does feel good. Experiencing negativity and batting it away to come back to the calm,is a continual lesson. Mindful choices in everything. Sending you all a surge of Sunday love. (sic)"
Tamzin's new active lifestyle comes after she suffered some coronavirus symptoms earlier this year.
The soap star - who has been dating filmmaker Tom Child for two years - recalled experiencing a "sore throat" and "terrible headache" when the respiratory illness was first around in the UK, but she wasn't tested.
She said: "I did have symptoms in that first week. I think my partner did too.
"I had a sore throat, a terrible headache and I felt so lethargic. It was not like a normal flu. I didn't have any fever or chest pain. We didn't get tested but who knows. You also don't know if you are going to get it again."
