The former 'EastEnders' actress - who bowed out of the BBC One soap last year when her character Mel Owen was killed off - has two daughters with her ex husband Tom Ellis, and while she's finding it tough after schools were closed across the UK from Friday (20.03.20) due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, she admitted plenty of people have stepped up to make things easier.

She tweeted: "I'm a lucky one. I have @emiliaclarke offering to read stories to my girls, live!

"I have chef friends happy to drop off food. A boyfriend who is bleaching the house, and a whole heap of friends who are offering support but I'm still going slightly crazy!"

Despite this, the 49-year-old star - who was recently cast alongside the former 'Game of Thrones' actress in West End production 'Seagull' - has found her first day challenging.

Earlier on Monday (23.03.20), she wrote: "I'm already at the end of my tether with home schooling and it's 10am."

Tamzin previously joked her life turned into an episode of BBC sitcom 'Motherland' - which stars Anna Maxwell Martin as working mum Julia - since she left Albert Square in November last year.

She wrote on Twitter: "Meant to say for the past 2wks my life has become an episode of Motherland, just much less funny. 2 school runs in, voice over next, then across town to read through, back for 2 school pick ups, check on recovering Dad,dinner & attack the washing pile #runraggedbuthappy (sic)"
