Tamzin Outhwaite has paid tribute to her late mum on her birthday.
The former 'EastEnders' star took to Instagram to share an emotional message about her mother Anna - who passed away in April 2018 from a brain aneurysm - admitting she misses her on her 71st birthday and she always strives to "be more like" her mum.
She wrote: "June 17th always reminding us of the circle of life…. My mum and eldest child’s joint birthday… Mum always said , her first grandchild ,on her birthday , was the best present she ever had… Happy 71st mummy… We all miss you but feel you all the time.. I have honestly never heard anyone say a negative word about my mum… ( apart from her terrible time keeping)what a beautiful achievement x #alwaystryingtobemorelikeyou (sic)"
The 50-year-old star - who has kids Florence, 13, and Marnie, eight - once considered getting Botox and fillers, but she always thinks about what her mother would say, and believes she would encourage her to be "natural" so she decides against the treatments.
She said: "I hear mum when I occasionally consider getting Botox, fillers, or whatever. "'What are you thinking about that, for?' She says in my mind. 'Just have some apple cider vinegar and drink a glass of warm water!'
"Mum believed in being natural. She taught me so much and I constantly strive to be like her. (sic)"
Tamzin has ditched alcohol and dairy on numerous occasions in a bid to live a healthier life, and while she has found it "undeniably tough" to begin with, she has felt better for it.
She added: "I feel my best when I eat a plant-based diet, ditch alcohol and dairy, and regularly do yoga.
"I did that for a month in August with the result that I looked and felt better than I'd done in ages. "It really does work but when you start, it is undeniably tough. "However, get past the first week, and you're OK."
