Tamzin Outhwaite got emotional as her father had his second coronavirus vaccine jab.
The former 'EastEnders' actress - who has kids Florence, 12, and eight-year-old Marnie - is delighted that her children are one step closer to hugging their granddad, Colin, but she isn't sure when they will be able to.
She wrote on Twitter: "So my Dad is currently getting his 2nd vaccine jab and i feel slightly emotional. The kids keep asking when they can hug him & I can honestly say , I don’t know. We all have colds so definitely not yet but.... pretty soon & that feels epic. (sic)"
It comes after Tamzin admitted on Sunday (28.03.21) she was delighted lockdown regulations were easing on Monday (29.03.21) and felt "excited" that her children were closer to seeing their father, 'Miranda' actor Tom Ellis, as they "haven't seen [him] since last August".
She tweeted: "From tomorrow we can see friends outside!!!
But for the happiness of my kids,I am most excited that they get to see their Dad soon, who they haven’t seen since last August , & they are busting with excitement & counting down the days. #Bringiton (sic)"
In January, Tamzin admitted she was feeling "hopeful" after her father - who lives in a separate dwelling at the end of her garden - had his coronavirus vaccine following "nearly a year" of shielding.
She tweeted: "Yesterday my dad had his 1st jab of the vaccine. He has been shielding for nearly a year as he is vulnerable with underlying health issues.I called the doctor a couple of times but he only got his invitation the day before. He said it was very well organised & we await no 2. #hope (sic)"
Tamzin's ex-'EastEnders' co-star Laurie Brett (Jane Beale) was delighted to hear Colin had been vaccinated.
She wrote: "Fantastic!! Go Colin (sic)"
