Tamzin Outhwaite says having 24-hour side-effects following her coronavirus vaccine was a "small price to pay".
The former 'EastEnders' actress, 50, was delighted to be jabbed on Wednesday (17.03.21), admitting the process "was organised like a military operation, but with kindness" and was "safe, quick, and painless", and while she had an aching arm, a headache and "mild flu-like symptoms" afterwards, she was fine just 24 hours later.
In a tweet on Thursday (18.03.21), she posted: "Yesterday i had my first dose of The Vaccine. It was organised like a military operation but with kindness. The receptionist was friendly & welcoming...It was safe, quick & painless. The staff were courteous, warm & kind. Bravo NHS & all staff.
"For those asking, i have an aching arm, mild flu like symptoms. I wouldn’t climb a mountain but i just made my eldest lunch . Thankfully i can rest up today and attack tomorrow. (sic)"
And this morning (19.03.21), Tamzin tweeted: "morning all... for those asking about the vaccine reaction, personally, i have no side effects anymore so was only 24 hours. Such a small price to pay.
It’s Friday, the sun is out , the sky is bright blue... happy Friday people . (sic)"
Tamzin has joined several other soap stars past and present who have been vaccinated, including 'Coronation Street' actor Trevor Michael Georges (Ed Bailey).
Earlier this month, he wrote on Twitter: "Just had my COVID jab and still feeling no signs of the zombie apocalypse. Get it done people. It’s the best way forward. X (sic)"
