Tamera Foster has admitted Luke Friend beat her in last night's 'X Factor' sing-off.
The 16-year-old songstress was the latest hopeful to be eliminated from the ITV singing competition last night (01.12.13) following a tense sing-off with Luke, and she admits his powerful rendition of Snow Patrol's 'Run' earned him a place in next week's penultimate live shows - even if it came at her expense.
She told BANG Showbiz exclusively: "I feel like Luke did deserve to go through judging on the sing-off. For me, that performance was amazing. I was literally shaking watching his performance - not because I was scared, but because he blew me away. I thought it was amazing.
"Afterwards he was like, 'I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry', and I was like, 'Don't be silly, you were amazing.' I'm definitely happy he went through."
Tamera was heavily criticised by viewers and the 'X Factor' judges for forgetting song lyrics two weeks in a row, but the forgetful singer has blamed her memory woes on "stress" and says she felt much more confident on Saturday (30.11.13) - when she performed Rihanna's 'We Found Love' and Roberta Flack's 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' - after enlisting the help of a hypnotherapist.
She explained: "Those two weeks were probably the most stressful weeks for me in the competition. I wasn't really in a good headspace to be going on stage and so that really did affect me and my performances, as everyone saw.
"This last week, I got over it with the hypnotherapy and I was a lot more positive during the week, so that set me up for the performances on Saturday."
Tamera's shocking exit came as a blow after previously being tipped as an early favourite to win the series, but the star remains positive about the outcome.
She added: "I'm pretty gutted that I left the competition, but I'm not going to beat myself about it because I left in week eight and I'm only 16, so for me that's a huge accomplishment. I'm just grateful more than anything."
