Tai Hara is "open" to returning to 'Home and Away'.
The 30-year-old actor - who starred as Andy Barrett in the soap before his character went on the run in 2016 - has revealed he's already spoken to Jackson Gallagher - who played his on-screen half-brother Josh - about returning to the show.
Tai - whose character went on the run after Josh was convicted of killing Charlotte King - shared: "Jackson and I, when we do catch up, still have a bit of a chuckle about where Andy and Josh are now, you know, a fishing expo or maybe hiding out somewhere in far North Queensland.
"I feel like maybe they've gone to a tropical island."
Although his character has been absent from the show for four years, Tai is refusing to rule out a comeback.
The actor - who starred in the US political drama 'Madam Secretary' in 2019 - suggested that the door for a comeback will remain open while his character is still alive.
He told Now to Love: "We definitely joke about the Barretts coming back. The thing is they never died, so it's all open."
Tai also admitted he was open to the idea of returning to the soap in 2019.
The actor - who joined the 'Home and Away' cast in 2013 - thinks Andy is "still alive out there somewhere" and suggested he'd like to make a comeback at some point.
Asked about the possibility, Tai explained: "I never say never. Fortunately I didn't die when I left now which I'm sure he is still alive out there somewhere."
