‘The Syndicate’ is set to air its fourth series this spring.

The BBC drama series – which is written and created by Kay Mellor – will return to screens for a fourth series in the coming months, and will star the likes of Neil Morrissey, Emily Head, Taj Atwal, Katherine Rose Morley, Kieran Urquhart, and Libby Hobbs, who is making her UK debut on the programme.
Each series of ‘The Syndicate’ follows a different group of people as they win the lottery, and for series four, Kay will be transporting viewers to both Yorkshire and Monaco to tell the story of a group of kennel workers who bank the jackpot.
The series will follow Keeley (Katherine Rose Morley), Jake (Kieran Urquhart), Roxy (Taj Atwal), Gemma (Liberty Hobbs) and Colette (Emily Head), who find their jobs at Woodvale Kennels are on the line when the owners announce they are selling the business to a large corporate chain.
When gambling addict Keeley decides to play the weekly lottery and finds she’s won big, audiences will see the kennel workers spend every last penny they own to see justice done.
In a statement, Kay said: Kay Mellor comments: “Lockdown has been a roller-coaster of emotions for all of us. I was devastated not to be able to begin shooting the new ‘Syndicate’. All the scripts were written and we were four days away from principal photography but now we’re ready for the stage and I couldn’t be more excited.
“We’ve got a loyal, star-studded cast and a talented crew, who have waited patiently in the wings. The BBC - Piers Wenger and Gaynor Holmes especially - have been utterly brilliant, supporting us all the way.
“This series is a brand-new story about a syndicate of low paid kennel workers who think they’ve won the lottery but have been robbed of their ticket. The chase to confront the culprit takes us to the wealthy French Riviera where the young syndicate find themselves well out of their depth.”
Further casting for the series includes Joe Sugg, who is making his TV acting debut, as well as Mark Benton, Gaynor Faye, Katie McGlynn, Kym Marsh, Andrew Dunn, and Lorraine Bruce.
After the UK premiere this spring, the series will premiere exclusively as a BritBox Original Co-Production in the US and Canada.
The series will be comprised of six hour-long episodes, and as of the time of writing, a firm release date has not been announced.
