Susannah Constantine is taking a daily dose of a joint supplement meant for horses to ease her pain during her training for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 56-year-old fashion advisor - who has spent hours a day in the dance studio with her partner Anton du Beke rehearsing for the first live show next week - has been told to take "one scoop" of JointPro, a supplement given to hard-working horses to relieve arthritis, to prevent too much strain on her creaky bones.
Taking to her Instagram account, she uploaded a photograph of a pot of JointPro - worth £100 - and wrote: "This is what vets give to old, knackered horses who need their joints and tendons oiled. Taking one scoop day with water."
Despite her pain, Susannah is determined to push through because Anton believes they have what it takes to win the series if they work hard enough.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "All that trotting around the training room with Anton is clearly putting Susannah through her paces.
"She's putting a lot of effort into it but it's a bit of a shock to the system.
"Anton is competitive and thinks the pair can go far in the competition if they put enough work in. Everything's to play for."
However, Susannah - who is the oldest contestant on the line-up this year - did have a little wobble before she started training and her best friend Trinny Woodall had to talk some sense into her and make her realise how "lucky" she was.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: "I speak to Trinny every day, if not three times a day. The first night I was crying, saying, 'I don't know why I'm doing this. I've made such a mistake, and I'm so bad.' She gave me a kick up the a**e and told me to get on with it, because I'm lucky to be on 'Strictly'."
