A climate change protestor stormed off 'Good Morning Britain' today (22.09.21) following a clash with co-hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley.
During their exchange, Susanna asked the guest, Liam Norton, not to "patronise" her over the climate change protests on the M25, where demonstrators have been disrupting traffic to get their point across.
He said: "If you understood it [climate change] you might start to understand that [the protests] a little bit more."
But Susanna replied: "Liam, just try not to be so patronising when you're talking to me, OK. I understand."
He then said: "It's not about patronising, it's the truth."
Susanna insisted "No, it is. It's patronising."
Liam later claimed he and others are waiting for the government to "make a meaningful statement to save the future of this country" as things began to get heated.
He said: "We've been writing letters for 30 years, we've been writing petitions for 30 years, we've been pleading with the government for 30 years and what we're saying to the government is this, this is our line in the sand.
"We're demanding the government make a meaningful statement to save the future of this country.
"If they refuse to do it they can put us in prison."
He then stood up and said: "I've had enough of talking to people in this country about what we're doing."
Richard said: "Oh, he's doing a Piers Morgan," in a nod to former 'GMB' host Piers storming off the show earlier this year.
Former 'This Morning' host Richard then chuckled and said: "Bye."
Liam said "bye" and stormed off.
