Susanna Reid could be paired with a female co-host on 'Good Morning Britain'.
The 50-year-old broadcaster has been presenting the ITV breakfast show alongside a number of co-hosts since Piers Morgan abruptly departed the programme in March following criticism of his comments regarding the Duchess of Sussex's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and TV insiders have suggested that she could be join by a female show regular - such as Charlotte Hawkins, Ranvir Singh or Kate Garraway on a permanent basis.
The insider also confirmed that viewers are likely to see more of Richard Madeley, Bill Turnbull and Alastair Campbell, who have all hosted since Piers' exit.
The source told The Sun newspaper:" It is very possible that we will have two women fronting the show.
"Susanna will take the lead, but the job of her co-host is up for grabs, and it will come down to who is most popular with viewers.
"Richard and Charlotte both gave powerhouse performances last week, so we will be seeing a lot more of them in the coming weeks. But Ranvir and Kate will be back too, as will Alastair Campbell and Bill Turnbull."
The source added that 'GMB' bosses are in no rush to replace the outspoken Piers - who has claimed that ITV have asked him to return to the show.
It said: "The attitude behind the scenes is there is no rush to find a replacement for Piers this year. The bosses want to make the right choice. They want to give lots of people a chance and, as time goes on, focus more on the most popular hosts.
"The feeling is if Piers doesn’t come back, it’d be unfair to draft in a replacement straight away, both on Piers and his replacement."
