Susanna Reid picked up the Celebrity Personality of the Year 2021 gong at the National Reality TV Awards.

The 50-year-old presenter beat off strong competition from fellow TV stars including Laura Whitmore, Anna Richardson, Christine Lampard, Cheryl Tweedy, Dean Gaffney, Lorraine Kelly, Ian Wright and Kevin McCloud to be named the winner at the awards ceremony on Thursday (22.07.21).

Susanna did not attend the ceremony, which was held at Porchester Hall in London, but she retweeted the NRTA's tweet about her win as she shared her excitement.

The tweet read: "Congratulations to @SusannaReid100 on winning Celebrity Personality of the Year sponsored by @DanielleStylesBoutique at the 10th National Reality TV Awards," and Susanna added: "Thank you @RealityTVAwards."

Susanna's show 'Good Morning Britain' also won Best Talk Show.

Stacey Dooley's 'Stacey Dooley: On The Psych Ward' won two awards, for Best Health Service TV Show and Most Inspiring TV Show.

Andy Bradshaw, Head of Partnerships at the National Reality TV Awards, said: “There is no doubt that NHS workers have been truly tested by the pandemic and that their continuing work is vital to our collective survival as a nation. The brand-new category Best Health Service TV Show is dedicated to shows focused on the inspiring work led by NHS staff."

'Love Island -The Winter Edition' took home the Best Dating Show and Best Reality Competition Show awards, whilst 'The Apprentice' was voted Best Business Show .
