Susanna Reid is at "breaking point" after being forced off Twitter by cruel social media trolls.
The 'Good Morning Britain' star admitting "the tirade of exist insults" and abuse have left her disillusioned with the platform and she has decided to take a step back.
Writing for the Daily Mail newspaper, she said: "I am informed I am too fat, too thin, too old and too stupid.
"Spoilt, narcissistic and attention-seeking are common insults, although honestly no one on TV is going to be offended by the accusation that they seek attention. We're hardly shrinking violets.
"The c-word -- which often pops up -- is never pleasant to read, but I've learned to ignore it.
"However, there are times when even thick skin gets thinner. I'm finally at breaking point, and I'm taking a step back from all the nastiness."
While the 49-year-old presenter hasn't "used Facebook in years", she had continued logging on to other social networking sites.
She added: "I could easily spend hours on Instagram and Twitter -- at least until now.
"I'm not willing to let the abusers win, but I've turned off all notifications and stopped checking my phone.
"I'll be blocking the worst trolls, and looking at my feed only when I need information on a news story."
Susanna also suggested breaking her social media habit could make her happier, as she admitted she is "addicted" to spending time scrolling through news feeds instead of focusing on "a sunny afternoon" or other responsibilities.
She revealed: "The thing is, I am addicted to social media.
"I can while away hours scrolling through posts and pictures, wallowing in the details of other people's lives, catching up on news, giggling at funny videos, all the while oblivious to a sunny afternoon or the washing up."
