'Emmerdale' star Susan Cookson thinks she's too northern to ever take on a role in 'EastEnders'.

The 56-year-old actress is currently playing Wendy Posner in the ITV show and she is a soap veteran having also appeared in 'Casualty' and 'Coronation Street' and played a minor part in 'Hollyoaks'.
However, Susan doesn't think she'll ever be heading down to London for a role in 'EastEnders' because she doesn't think she could master a cockney accent.
When asked if she fancies a stint on Albert Square next, she answered: "No. I mean, you never say never, but it almost seems like another world away.
"I'm such a northern girl at heart, although I guess it might be fun to give the southern accent a go! At the moment I'm quite happy in the Dales."
Susan - whose character is in a relationship with Bob Hope in the show - admits her stint in 'Emmerdale' has so far been one of her best ever jobs, and she has praise her co-stars and the crew for making the set feel like one big family.
In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, she said: "Everyone who works here says the same thing, but you do feel as though you're joining a big family. "Everybody's lovely. I just felt as if I was getting to grips with the show and my character, and then we went into lockdown, and I really missed being here.
"A lot of the time it doesn't feel like a job - it's an absolute pleasure to go to work and be with the people here. It's definitely in my top five jobs ever."
