Supergirl's second season is right around the corner, and it was announced earlier this year that Superman would be coming to the show in some form, played by Tyler Hoechlin.
Pictures of Hoechlin in his Superman costume have been released to the public, and whilst it looks exciting and fresh, it's not all going to be fun and joy moving ahead.
Speaking to EW in a new interview, co-creator and executive producer Andrew Kreisberg has spoken a little about how Superman's arrival causes a rift within the Danvers family, between Supergirl herself, Kara, and her sister Alex.
He said: "Alex has been everything to Kara; she's her family. Alex has a little bit of a chip on her shoulder about Clark. She loves him and he's family, but he left Kara on their doorstep. Kara is so excited to see Clark and so excited to be with him, it's almost a little bit like Alex feels taken for granted, because she's the family member who's put in the time. It sets up an interesting conflict between her and Kara in the first couple of episodes."
Despite Kara and Alex disagreeing on many things in season one and having their fallings out, one thing has remained a constant - the two have been inseparable. Now with Clark Kent on the scene, could that all be about to change?
Supergirl season 2 premieres on Monday October 10 in the US, on its new home at The CW.
