With news earlier in the year that The Flash would be coming to a future episode of CBS's Supergirl, fans were excited to see the two superheroes in action together, and now a promotional comic book style poster for the show has been revealed, featuring both Kara Zor-El and the Scarlet Speedster.

Making his way to National City, Barry Allen will star in an episode called 'World's Finest', and EW revealed the synopsis, which reads: "Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home."
The site also debuted the above poster for the show, which is a tribute and homage to the cover for the official Superman #199 comic.
Following the trend of that comic, which saw Superman and The Flash race to determine who was fastest, there will be a race in the episode between Kara and Barry, with showrunner Andrew Kreisberg saying it's "one of my favourite moments in the episode".
Supergirl and The Flash's crossover episode airs on March 28 at 8/7c on CBS, but Supergirl continues ahead of that on March 14 on the network. The Flash meanwhile continues on March 22 on The CW.
