DC fans have been waiting to hear more news regarding Superman in the Supergirl television series on CBS, and now the show is actively searching for their Man of Steel - but there's a twist.
TV Line is reporting that producers are looking to cast a 13-year-old version of the hero, with the young teenager capturing "future leading man looks".
To-date, those watching the series have only seen Kara's cousin in small cameos where he's mostly hidden by shadows, but this young Superman will be coming to the show through flashbacks.
He'll make his Supergirl debut early next year, apparently in the 13th episode of the first season, where his relationship with cousin Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) will be further explored.
Supergirl became Sky1's highest-rated series launch in almost three years earlier this month.
The show also stars Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, Jeremy Jordan, Chyler Leigh and David Harewood.
